Following the days after he passed away, we conducted a full two-day Ceremonial Services to express our gratitude for his perfect guidance not just for the thirteen of us, but to everyone whom he came across, to bless his soul for he has done ceaselessly for countless souls during his lifetime and invoked his name in the holy presence of our Patron Saints so as to deliver him on to the path to eternal paradise. The services was performed meticulously for all he had taught us to bless the others, now for him. All the members from our branches - Toa Payoh Branch, Bukit Timah Branch, Melaka Branch, Muar Branch and Pontian Branch, whose participation has made the services even more meaningful and solemn.

The last day of the funeral services was a long procession to send him off to his path to Enlightenment, where we offer him an alternative in our Ancestral Hall - His Portraiture and Ancestral Tablet, so that we can heartily be reminded of him.

For all the deeds he accomplished in his lifetime, Our Patron Saint acknowledges them and has instructed his ascension to the enlightenment realm pending for three years, after which he will traverse as the ‘Hock Teck’ deity. It has been three years since his death and his Holy Spirit has since resided in the ‘Hock Teck’ Shrine. He will always be remembered as the great teacher in our mind and heart.

Mr. Lim dedicated his precious lifetime for the services of our Society. For many years, neither did he claim for fame nor repayment. In commemoration of his dedication, our President, Mr. Teo Soo Chuan presented a Long-Service and Diligence Award to his honour on March 24, 1991.
